As I said, here is the Facial Setup for Maya with some extra features like – Simple facial rig and advance smart eye blink system. I strongly recommend to visit John Doublestein website for learning manual setup for smart blinks. I included his script in this tool, so I really didn’t wrote the procedure for smart blinks !!

Recently got a chance to rig a jellyfish..!! Before rigging a heavy jellyfish I tried the setup on a simple model, just few primitives. Used Maya’s awesome hairSystem. This is just a sample video. If possible I’ll post another final video of the original jellyfish rig..!!

I really glad to say the next release of my facial setup script is on the way, just few tweaks are needed here and there. I would like to hear something to be added from you if you are interested. Next release is having, Auto facial rig setup (based on joints) included, and smart eye blinking options, really cool isn’t it ?

14 minutes short movie Sintel just premiered online a day ago! The movie was done with open-source software Blender 3D to promote the software.

woohh..!! at last finally, today afternoon I got training DVDs that I bought earlier about Quadruped Animation Friendly Rigging series by Javier (Goosh) Solsona. I am so much excited now to watch these series. I taught to write a post on blog first before digging with Goosh.

Okay, here I go to watch these DVDs, I’ll write another post what he explained and what I learned from him.

I was googling this morning assuming I’ll get something nice and good but, I don’t even think about I’ll get really good and cool stuff which is coming from directly Walt Disney !! its awesome. This morning I had a chance to visit Walt Disney animator Chad Sellers blog, and I got very interesting article (I must say this is a resource ) which wrote by Walt.

This missive signalled the birth of a structured training program that would subsequently enable Walt’s studio to produce hit-after-hit during the Golden Age of Animation. For aspiring animators, this is absolutely essential reading; for everyone else, assuming you have even the slightest interest in the development of one of the world’s most influential entertainment companies, this is simply an engrossing, inspiring read.
